Been there three years, can never get an appointment with Dr Kaufman. Instead have to see a NP which is fine they have been great but Dr. Kaufman has lost 3 NP! Each time have to re-establish with whomever the new provider is.
I have been to 4 different doctors prior to finding Dr. Kaufman as I have had no energy or brain functioning. (I literally had to go to bed directly after work). He found that my thyroid was BARELY working. After having a blood test (and I had 4 before finding him) he had me sit opposite him at his desk and went line by line on my readings. Also, very kind and caring! 5 stars!!
Dr. Kaufman is somewhat arrogant and self-absorbed. If one of his recommended treatments does not help the patient, he tends to become angry and further treatments are ineffective.
A refreshing departure from standard drug based medicine. He understands and practices integrative, holistic, natural based medicine. He actually understands what makes the body work better rather than just how to suppress symptoms with drugs. That puts him in the top 1% of doctors in this country.
For 4 years, best Doctor I've seen. Last visit, he was very spacey, and refused treatments that his attentive nurse wrote down-especially a Stage 3 Decubitis on my Left Toe, which may have been M.R.S.A. returning. 1.5 yrs later, both feet are much worse. SEVERAL calls to the front office AND to Dr. Kaufman's personal line went unanswered! Front Office attempted Extortion of $200 for an unknown item not billed to Insurance, but directly to me! No new appt. 'til I paid Extortion-Malpractice Suit?
