Stumbled upon this local organization via reddit. Lo and behold, they were hosting a viewing the one weekend day I was on the island (dates are listed on their website). I showed up and met two gentlemen (and about five other tourists) who each had a telescope set for free public viewing. Was able to see Jupiter and its moons, M13 (dense collection of stars), and NGC 5194 and its neighbor galaxy (they're colliding). Really cool!
