Awesome katsu-sando in chicago!
Really pleased with the pork tenderloin sandwich. I feel it could be a bit more tender (the tenderloin at Tonkatsu Marushichi in Torrance, CA is my gold standard) but it's still head and shoulders above the sandwiches for sale at places like Mitsuwa and Gangnam Market - a real katsu sandwich. Would be awesome if they could come up with a spicy version of their house sauce.
The food was not fresh at all and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The rice was hard and inedible and katsu was like 90% fat. Places like this that serve old food do not respect their customers .
The food quality has gone down drastically over the past year. Their Katsu used to be crispy and tender but now the Katsu breading always falls apart and the pork is very tough. The price is a bit too expensive for the quality of food you get
