I cannot thank KB Veterinary Emergency Hospital enough for the exceptional care they have provided for my dog, June. First and foremost, every staff member here was so kind and compassionate. The wait for treatment for my cat was a little long, but that's really because emergencies were coming in, and it seemed like they were coming in from all surrounding counties, which speaks to the quality of care. While we waited, the staff at the front were so kind and checked in now and then, and as we saw other patients get seen, they were equally kind and empathetic. Called the office at 11:30pm because our dog was extremely sick and declining. He had pancreatitis and our regular vet in Mt. Kisco gave us their info in case he started getting worse. Described what was going on and they told us to bring him in immediately. Got there a little before 12am and he was assessed; doctor stated he needed to be hospitalized but that they were at capacity and couldn’t take him. The doctors and technicians are generally very nice here. Conversations or situations related to financing however truly lack. I’ve spent some time reading the other reviews to make sure I’m being fair and indeed there seems to be a pattern of other people who get disappointed with KBVC’s price insensitive attitude. We’ve taken our beloved boxer here for two+ years for chemo and monitoring while he had a very rare type of lymphoma. The whole staff and specifically Dr. Merrick couldn’t have been nicer, smarter, sweeter or more intelligent. Her kindness and care during this process made all the difference. She was cognizant of financials/insurance while still being realistic and a BADASS doctor. She did everything for our boy.
