I would have to say I am a loyal customer. I know the entire staff from owner to wait. The absolute best chicken fry in the world. The best burger around especially for the money. My wife and kids really don't want to go anywhere else. If you want fast go to McD's. Top quality as far as I'm concerned. Dan
My husband and I moved to Winfield a year ago and Kathryn's is our favorite restaurant. The food has always been well above average and the specials are varied - it is obvious that the chef enjoys the art of cooking and has high standards. This is not a "fast food" restaurant - you will enjoy homemade bread, quality food, and a wonderful ambiance of a beautiful old building. We are very picky about eating out so really enjoy having this restaurant nearby. We go there about once a week. Highly recommend it.
We've been twice, once for lunch the next for dinner. I was a bit disappointed that the dinner entrees were not available until after 5pm. My husband is a day sleeper so is seldom awake at dinner time. Lunch was very good. The fattoush salad was yummy and their hummus is some of the best I've had. Great food w/ variable service. Love the crab cakes and the lasagna! The meatloaf is pretty wonderful, too. I've had really fast service there, but it can be inconsistent. Don't go if you are in a hurry! But . . . If you have time to relax and savor your food, it's definitely worth the wait!
Great Food! Amazing presentation of the dishes and much better than anything else in Winfield. The environment is great and very classy. The new bar is very well made and they have a great stock of beer and wine. Cannot wait to go back and will make all of my reservations for business meetings there, from now on. Great restaurant!
dont waste your time or money. the food i got was awful. the waiter ignored my request for only cream sauce on the meat. it was covered in red green and yellow peppers and onions. upon taking one bite of this it tasted burned. i turned the meat over and it was burned black on the bottom the cook tried to cover up this mistake instead of fixing it right. the asparagus was raw and served with rubbery pecans...YUCK AWFUL FOOD no apologies from anyone in fact my friend had to get up and get his own coffee...sad winfield needs be... read more
