I attended 5 sessions with Dr. Michaud. She was late to 4 out of 5 of those sessions because she couldn't remember whether I was on zoom or in person. In one session, she did not read my notes beforehand and spent time during our session catching up on previous notes. Then, she shared a story with me about another client- but that client was me. Scheduled an appt with Kathleen and a different counselor for my partner and I (as it’s important to “shop” and have a therapist you feel comfortable with) and we happened to see the other one first who we really liked, so I decided to cancel our appt (2 days in advance) with Kathleen to avoid insurance fees or wasting either of our times. Dr. Michaud was great with my husband and me! We recommend her to everyone who is having marital issues. I genuinely believe that without her help, and especially the imago technique she taught us, we wouldn’t still be married today.

She set up the appointment for my daughter and then asked me to fill out her online forms prior to our arrival. One of the forms required that I provide her with a copy of my credit card in case we failed to show up at an appointment so she can charge us a fee. I told her I was uncomfortable with that and she replied that I should go see someone else then. Maybe if she provided competent service to her clients, she wouldn’t need to worry too much about them not showing up for appointments.
