Dr Rueter is extremely condescending. Her recommended treatment plan seemed extreme and when I mentioned that I wanted to seek a second opinion from another periodontist she became defensive and threatened to stop the treatment plan. She doesn't seem to care about her patients well being. I ended up going to Portland and working with a doctor with much better bedside manners.

Had some extensive surgery done, signed the waiver opting FOR the use of nitrous oxide. Dr. Rueter mistakenly thought I had opted out and proceeded to operate FOR OVER 4 HOURS using only local anesthesia which was ineffective by her own words. Never had an experience like this before - I can't believe this happened. After she discovered her mistake she briefly apologized, and we got the bill for the over $9000 procedure. Avoid this Dr at all costs.

Staff is friendly. Dr. Reuter is extremely rude and condescending. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

Nice and helpful support staff. However, I found Dr. Reuter’s bedside demeanor to be lacking. She seemed pleasant until I had questions about the recommended treatment plan (asking her to expand on her recommendations, the procedure itself, success rates, prognosis, etc). She then became terse, acted defensive and looked seemingly angry or otherwise upset. It caught me off guard and made it difficult to want to finish the consultation. I left with unanswered questions as a result. I would not choose to pursue treatment with ... read more

We have been patients of Dr. Rueters since we moved to Central Oregon nearly 10 years ago. We have found Dr. Rueter to be beyond helpful and the staff is the same. She actually is very honest about what can be done and is not one to set you up with a treatment plan that is more than what you need. She has actually advised me personally to not have an implant in a location that she thought would be doomed to fail. I would not have known any better. I remember needing a graft and she was concerned that it might not work as wel... read more

Well, what does one say. You've heard all the horror stories about mistreatment & denial of services to this countries Veterans. Here's a case of a practice dumping all Veterans because "it's not in best interest of this practice" It was sooo blatant & last minute, I don't know what to think. Here it is, I was 2/3 the way through the process of getting an implant. I am 100 percent disabled Veteran.. I have been a patient of Cascade Peridontics since January. This was arranged with Dr. Rueter's practice via the VA. She agreed... read more

This doctor and her staff are some of the best anywhere that you'll ever find. Just amazingly good, friendly, helpful, professional, they're the best. And, no, I'm just a patient. Been around a lot and had both good and bad experiences, but Dr. Rueter is the best. They help you avoid more problem with your teeth and gums as opposed to an endless treadmill of dentist bills.
