Absolutely by far the best Dr. yet! I have (AIP) Accute Intermittent Porphyria, thru inheritance from my mother (RIP). My mother had mentioned it when I was 27yrs old, she never followed thru after having 2 major attacks in college. Dr. Katharine Thomas has done amazing things with me after having 3 other Dr's for it. SHE listens, builds a plans, checks on me constantly, makes sure her nurses are available constantly. Dr. Thomas is a wonderful doctor who clearly keeps up with the latest treatments and gives quality care to her patients. She is a true beacon for those dealing with this awful disease.
Dr. Kate is the kindest and smartest physician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She takes a personal interest in her patients and will always hold a place in my family's heart.
Extremely rude office staff with no discernible empathy. Gave me the runaround for an entire month. They are comfortable lying to your face about when your referral was sent in, when the doctor was in the office. Kept telling me they'd schedule me soon. Meanwhile, my hemoglobin levels have been plummeting since January warranting an emergency room visit and they didn't find that to be clinically significant and denied me as a patient.
