Dr Irani saved my life! An old VBG surgery that I had 36 yrs ago was causing severe reflux which could not be corrected with medication that caused chronic asthma and lung infections. I did need to lose some weight but my decision for the bypass was to save my lungs. Dr Kat is friendly. Understanding and helps with preparing you for all you nutritional needs. Starting weight 219. 1 yr post op anniversary 139. You will not regret your choice for a surgeon. May God Bless you Dr. Irani!!!
Dr. Irani is truly a knowledgable and professional Doctor, she has always been very patient and honest with my question's. I never feel rushed when speaking to her, and she always takes the time to ease my stress and go over anything I am curious about. Dr. Irani really does care about all her patients and only wants the best treatment and recovery for them. Her empathy and understanding really shows in every conversation I have with her. I hope everyone gets the pleasure of working with a doctor like her.
Dr Irani performed a Roux n y Gastric Bypass and Hital hernia repair on me in 2018. It was life changing for the better for me. She is knowledgeable and explains everything in a way that everyone can understand. She truly cares about her patients. I won't see anyone else for Bariatric issues.
Without ever having met me she responded to my G.I. doctor on an emergency basis and made time in her schedule to operate on me within 24 hours. I had severe Achalasia and was without food for nearly a week. My esophagus had completely shut down, not allowing me to intake water. She found an available surgical hospital with necessary equipment & I was admitted through the ER within hours, dehydrated and malnourished.
