We had a fantastic hike through the mountains. The trail starts out as a wide gently sloping track and then all of a sudden you are in a slot canyon. Very narrow in places and also some rocky climbs. Then it opens up into a steep hillside climb before reaching the mesa vista. Fabulous views of the surrounding landscape which stretches for miles. Well worth the effort but do make sure you have hiking shoes and strongly recommend using a hiking pole for extra help along the route.

Not worth going. The tickets to tent rocks national monument is $5 but then you have to pay about $25 per person for a “Pueblo access pass” just more ways to suck money out of people. Just a heads up, if you don’t mind paying about $60 for two people to walk around the desert and see some rocks then go for it. (: Personally ... read more

Tickets need to be purchased online in advance. They are currently sold out until October 22, 2025. We did not see this information online and drove 1.5 hrs to get there.

Well, I went there many years ago, now it is blocked. This is public land and a public National Monument. If I paid for my National Park Pass, I should be able to get in. This is all about this tribe extorting money and making it difficult to access. I believe this is a long term plan to obtain it for themselves.. FYI... They were very nasty and nearly ran their truck into me as I was turning around.
