Kasama was the only must visit spot on my most recent trip to Chicago. After checking in to my hotel on Sunday morning, I immediately made my way to this spot. You can get to Kasama using CTA, however, we opted to call a Lyft to get us there quicker. When we arrived there was a decent line. We asked a few people who were dinning outside if it was worth the wait. Everyone we asked said the food was good and worth the wait. The food may be good, but the service was absolutely terrible. The restaurant was practically empty, yet they made us wait outside for more than 30 minutes. From outside, we could see how incredibly slow the service was, and it honestly seemed like they didn’t care at all that people were waiting outside. The most frustrating part was this: we were told that sandwiches are not served after 12 PM. If that’s the case, why did you make us wait for more than 30 minutes for nothing?
