We really wanted to like this place, but service was lacking, nobody smiled, nor was engaging. Although slow, drinks still took quite awhile to be made. When we got our food, which also took awhile, the chicken was undercooked and our other dish was semi-cold. Our server never really checked on us, even though the place was pretty empty. We of course didn't eat our chicken, but no one came by to check, so we couldn't say anything. Karoo Home Away From Home is such a hidden gem! I absolutely love the aesthetic—it's warm, inviting, and the perfect place to relax. The afternoon views make the experience even better, creating a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy with friends or family. If you're visiting, you have to try the Springbok shot and an Amarula served over ice. Both are delicious and give you a true taste of South African flavors.
