UPDATE: Day 112 and Karnage cannot get their permit approved by the City and it is extremely concerning. We've also learned that our neighbor around the block has experienced the exact same thing with Karnage. No permits filed, stop work order issued, and months of being denied a permit. Hired them for some porch repairs which they said, in writing, would take about 5 business days. More than 7 months later the work is still incomplete and Karnage construction told me, in writing, that they were prioritizing other work. 7 months. Had another couple contractors come through to see what it would cost to get someone to complete the work. They all said that the craftsmanship was questionable. Do not recommend. We hired Karnage to do repairs on our porch and delivered them over $12,000. They said they would start work April 14th, no show. They assured us they would start April 21st, no show. We were not in a hurry for the work to get done, but we just wanted to notify the tenants when the work would occur. Later in the week of April 21st Karnage finally showed up, removed all the porch railings, half the floor boards, and left, now creating a serious hazard for tenants at the property and delivery folks. They fixed a couple different projects for me that I had on the back burner for so long. It felt so good to get the work done. Quality work and quality people. Working with this crew was great too because they were respectful of my pronouns. I’ve had past experiences with other contractors who made me feel very uncomfortable. So glad this was not the case this time around. Would absolutely hire them again.
