The staff turnover is so large that I rarely saw the same provider on consecutive appts in the Oncology care department. I had 4 different nurse navigators in the first year of care. It made it very difficult to receive consistent care.
This place is a joke!!! My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 years ago and now experiencing pain. Was told by our family doctor that the oncologist needs to prescribe. Called and was told "the NP- Ryan doesn't want to discuss pain meds or prescribe any, go to the ER if your mother is in pain...and she's only been diagnosed for 2 years" That's okay then, why spend our time/money coming here with no help!!! I have been a pt. At McLaren/Karmanos Lansing for over a year. I appreciate Beau and Ken in Radiology and their attention to customer service and expertise in their care. Excellent. Kind, kind humans helping.
On my first day, I was lucky enough to get a doctor that didn’t even know what kind of cancer I had. I I had pinpoint Radiation. The radiologist and I did not see eye to eye. I switched to a different cancer center. Had new test run, and it seems the prognosis given to Me here, was not accurate I would not recommend this place to anyone
