I began our project about two years ago. The build was complete after six months and I've been enjoying the house for the last year and a half. Throughout the project, my primary contact was Marcus. Overall, the project went as expected, which is good. Marcus was knowledgeable, patient, and responsive during the build and after the completion. I have had the privilege of working for Karlsen Homes for the past 8 years. Karlsen Homes does an excellent job at building strong relationships with home owners and they will take the time necessary to guide customers through the steps of the building process. I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for a quality builder that puts the customer first.
The Karlsen’s and their team (Marcus is our foreman) have been excellent to work with so far on our home. They’ve been responsive, dependable and flexible as well. We have had multiple things we have wanted to change part way through the project and they have been very flexible through every step of the way. To some degree it is not surprising to be following up on the below review with another update. After a complete re-roof of the house just over a year ago, all of our windows have begun to fail or have fully failed due to faulty installation. To characterize Karlsen Homes as a cut rate builder based on our experience in this home would be the understatement of the century now that we're $30k+ into substantial repairs/replacement of major components of the house's envelope, and that does not include an entire flood of the fir... read more
