Fine during visits, but the follow-through on results is where it fell apart. My labs came back with flagged values, including a genetic cardiac risk marker that matters given my family history, and none of it was proactively communicated or explained. I messaged Dr. Kara through MyChart on June 15th and never got a response at all. I switched physicians to finally get my results actually walked through. If you want a doctor who closes the loop on abnormal labs or simply cares, look elsewhere.
Dr. Kara is quite possibly the best internist that I have had the pleasure to work with. His bedside manner, caring attitude, respectful manner is second to none. I would whole heartedly recommend him.
Dr Kara is a excellent doctor, bed side manners excellent, he needs to listen to his patients more, I have found out thought experience. The patient knows their bodies. Stop saying go to urgent care, he definitely knows his medicine. He will definitely take care of you, he needs to just listen more and follow up. That is his only weakness. Doctors patients come to you for help. Stop sending them elsewhere. Treat them with medication and prescriptions.
Dr. Kara was highly recommended by Dr. Tejura. He is so compassionate, caring and I would highly recommend him. I've never been rushed, all my questions were answered and when my daughter died a few years ago he was so sweet. He asks about my family, how I'm doing and always been professional and attentive. Thank you Dr. Kara. His staff and actually all the staff that work there are very friendly.
