I went to see Dr. Hiotis regarding a twisting, wringing pain I had for over a week. My visit with her lasted about 5 minutes, and that is a generous estimate. She came in unprepared, and it became obvious she did not look at my medical records, nor did she bring in any x-rays. She said often a problem in another area of your body can manifest elsewhere. In January 2025 I visited Dr Hiotis a for scab I had on my nipple. She saw me for maybe 7 minutes. She referred to my most recent imaging but I don’t know if she actually looked only at the report or the imaging too. She took the scab off with her bare hands and told me “ there is nothing to worry about” but without explaining possible causes to the scab. Dr Hiotis is an amazingly thorough and conscientious doctor. I am so blessed to have found her.
Dr. Hiotis is a saint. She inspires confidence, is very comprehensive in her care and is extremely thorough. She clearly reviews your file before meeting with you (or just has an excellent memory) so you don't have to explain yourself at each visit. She is also the only doctor who I have ever managed to reliably reach over the phone. She is very fast so come prepared with questions to ask. I also found it helpful to have a friend or family member attend appointments with me when possible.
