We visited Dr. Ameeta Kapu’s office for my 19-year-old daughter to establish care and refill her birth control for pre-diagnosed PCOS. The doctor required an ultrasound, presented as a routine alternative to a pelvic exam due to her virginity, but failed to inform us it would be coded as diagnostic, not preventive. Friendly staff had to wait a few minutes for her she was delivering a baby, been her patient many years.
I have been seen by Dr. Kapu for over 7 years. She is very experienced and knowledgeable about her field of medicine. I enjoy being seen directly by her and not seeing a PA , which is how most Ob/Gyn offices are. She is very quick to return phone calls and seems to really care about me as a person. I would highly suggest her to anyone looking for a dr.in this field!
Dr. Kapu is the best OB I've ever had. She does have a great bedside manner and it's obvious she cares about her patients. Office staff is nice and knowledgeable.
Dr. Kapu was amazing! She had a great bedside manner, was easy to talk to, very professional, and made me feel very comfortable. Her staff was so helpful and friendly! I would recommend her to anyone/everyone and am glad that my own daughters have her to go to as well when the time comes for them to have their examinations. I can not speak highly enough about her!
I went in with severe, chronic pelvic pain. She examined me, and said I was “fine”. I had been on 3 different BC prescriptions over the last 6 years for the pain, and she tried to put me on yet another prescription. I was so frustrated that l broke down crying and she ignored it and left the room. She told me “pain on your period is normal”, and even suggested that l might have a gluten intolerance. Couple months later, new doc; l have stage 1 endometriosis with cysts, a hernia, adhesions, etc.
Dr Kapu is an insensitive and mean Dr, lacking compassion.
Worst office staff ever! Especially the front desk lady. She told me something and then told me something different. She told me my test results weren't good but then didn't call for almost a full month to talk to me but the front desk couldn't tell me either. Just ridiculous!
