Best Japanese Food Around! And I've gone to most of the Japanese restaurants around here. Kappo Nara's food is by far the most authentic. Great selection of sushi, sashimi, noodles, donburi, teriyaki, tempura, etc. The salad dressing is their own and is to die for! There are even two (?) tables set up on a tatami mat if you like to eat old school Japanese style.
Excellent cuisine The food here is beautifully done and tasty. The prices are probably normal for this type of dining experience. We go occasionally and I really enjoy the salad dressing and soup the most of course! The sushi is divine according to my husband and I really enjoy the chicken dish.

Great Japanese Cuisine The environment of this restaurant matches it's great Japanese cuisine! There is Japanese television playing while you enjoy your food. I love their fried rice and also their delicious sushi. I highly recommend their incredible eel roll.
Having lived 8 years in Japan, I can tell you this is the closest you will get to real Japanese food here in the Virginia area. The owner and Sushi Chef and a good deal of the staff are actually Japanese (instead of the typical Korean run and owned "Japanese restaurant". Get Japanese food without having to pay ridiculous prices. Any real sushi "connoisseur" will know that the fish is fresh and the food is authentic in flavor and presentation.
