Dr. Kaplan saved my eye sight. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kaplan and his team including those at Christina Hospital. My first visit, I came in with a torn retina and was terrified. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions and scheduled my procedure quickly. His team was courteous, efficient, and supportive throughout the process. Recently, I began to experience some strange visual anomalies in my left eye. An optometrist could not figure out what was going on. Dr. Kaplan correctly diagnosed the problem as a 30 year-old implant for cataracts in my left eye that had become unstable. Dr. Kaplan clearly and frankly explained my options with no sugar-coating - ignore it and hope it didn't get worse, or undergo a difficult, complicated, and dangerous operation to extract the old lens, clean up the damage, and install a new lens. Very good doc! He was prompt cordial patient & gave interactive responses to questions. His wisdom walking me thru decision making process was impressive & left me feeling quite at ease & confident in my choice. So nice to have such a pleasant interaction. Much appreciated! Would highly recommend him.
I couldnt see at all out of my one eye. i was so panicked but Dr Kaplan gave me a emergency apt and found the problem (torn retina). He performed the procedure and he was not just very professional he is very caring and explained every step, and what to expect. His mannerisms so calming and reassuring. My eye is perfect and Dr Kaplan is wonderful..he is the only one i want handling my eye problems.
Dr Kaplan worked extensively to restore my vision in my left eye over the course of three years. Finally when I had almost given up hope he recommended and performed surgery which resulted in my being able to see better than before! He truly opened my eyes up to a whole new world.
