Ty was a phenomenal dive master - super communicative right up to the dive to answer questions regarding time, location and gear. He’s the perfect blend of laid back local, showcasing his knowledge of the area and marine life, with comedian, keeping things light and fun. He will chase trying to make sure the dive is special for you, finding every opportunity to find the sharks, turtles, fish and octopus in the area. Highly recommend!
Great experience! We stayed at the Westin Nanea, and the meetup was a short, beautiful walk down the boardwalk. I had no prior scuba experience, and Ty did an awesome job teaching - felt very comfortable diving and would definitely go again.
Ty was an awesome dive guide. It had been at least 10 years the last time me and my dad did a dive. We did the refresher dive and then the shark/turtle dive right after. It was nice to get that refresher and Ty was good with the ones in our group that were diving for the first time. We saw white tips and turtles on our second dive and had a really good experience. Would love to do it again next time in Maui.
What a day. I had never been scuba diving before and I was quite nervous but Ty was ace, really reassuring, made sure you knew what you were doing before you went out. He didn’t take his eyes off any of us and seemed to have a sixth sense for any issues I was having, kept checking in on everyone. DO NOT SKIP OUT ON THE GO-PRO ADD ON! Legitimately the BEST dive I’ve ever done. Instructor was personable, fun, and professional. I called just a few days before our dive and asked for recommendations. Well, the recommendation didn’t disappoint. I would dive the Turtle and Shark dive every day. It was so incredible it would never get old.
