Dr Amir Hemaya and his staff provided world class service to my brother today. He is nonverbal and post brain injury. They worked us in within 48 hours due to an unexpected emergency with his medication (his previous dr would not refill necessary medication and my brother had only two days of meds left!) Dr Hemaya took his time collecting an accurate history, addressed my brother directly instead of talking around him, refilled his medication, and got us right in for current labs. This doctor treats his patient like a number. He gives time to look at your stats and says a few words and leaves the room. The nurse becomes a person's main contact. One time, Dr. Hemaya confused my pills prescription. The Blood was mixing with my urine in my system. Now, I had to go to Urology. Then, the last thing I heard from the doctor was that I was ready to be go to work...via the nurse.
