I want to add to these reviews because my family made use of Dr. Helmkay's services for numerous children and years. In recent years he was suddenly very ill which led to some of the comments. It was not a reflection on his skill or character. He was never about the money and lowered rates in order to help, when needed He was an excellent psychologist.
FYI, Dr Helmkay just passed away. I have read some of these reviews which reflect the time in which he was probably unwell? Reviews are based on the information you have. S.i understand

Whatever happened in the last 2 years - and we did request an assessment and didn't get one - I don't think it's a reflection on his skill or character. He was never just about money and was actually helpful with reducing his fees at times.
