Here at Kalia Restaurant, we offer a wide variety of delicious Indian curries, tandoori dishes and heavenly vegetarian dishes. Each meal is carefully prepared with the right blends and spices. We hope you will enjoy them and return again and again. We are health conscious when preparing our food, so we use vegetable oils only, no MSG and offer low cholesterol dishes. Tasty Indian Kalia has very good Indian food and reasonable prices. It is a fairly plain restaurant â but do not let that fool you â it is worth a try. Parking can be a little of a challenge.
yummy, full tummy for vegetarians – I have enjoyed their buffet for lunches with friends many times. They have a great selection of meatless dishes so we veg-heads get our appetites really satisfied. The waitstaff were friendly and competent. I actually enjoyed the campy bollywood videos. I have ordered delivery four times. The food arrived hot, the order correct.

hooray for Indian Delivery! – Not only do they have delivery, they also have excellent food! We love this place. One time, we ordered 2 naans, but only got one. The next time we ordered, I wanted to make sure we got the two naans, and mentioned that last time we only got one. The man on the phone (maybe the owner?) was so nice. He insisted that they include our nan for free. I told him that he didn't have to do that, but he told me he felt terrible our previous order wasn't correct. Solid Choice – Food was great. I had my old stand-by and my dining partner tried something new. Both were fantastic. My only complaint was that they charged $1.50 for Chutney with Nan. Usually that comes with it. It was presented as a choice...then when the bill came - SURPRISE. She did the same with a piece of plain Nan with the dinner. So other than the 4.50 I feel I was overcharged...it was good food. I will still go back, knowing much more about the ordering.
Great for takeout! – We've been looking for a good Indian delivery/takeout place in the Greenwood/Crown Hill/Ballard area for a long time, and in Rangoli (since renamed Maharajah Kitchen), we may have finally found one. We've so far only tried one dish -- the chicken vindaloo -- but it was exactly what we were looking for ... spicy, flavorful and filling. Perfect for a cold fall day! The portion size was excellent, and the service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely be going back.
Buffet today! – Despite the incongruous decor, the buffet is one of the most extensive of Seattle's Indian restaurants. Featured is a large vegetarian selection and often TWO dessert choices. Service has been extremely friendly the handful of times i've been there. Though i haven't been there for dinner yet, i definitely will soon. Pay no attention to the bad reviews--go and satisfly your craving for Indian food in an unassuming atmosphere today! '
