Bought winter tires for two vehicles here last year. Tried calling today (Wednesday afternoon) to book a seasonal tire change, I waited on hold for 18 minutes before I hung up and tried calling back again - each time the person answering would just say “Kal Tire can you please hold” and then they’d just out me on hold even though I just wanted to ask them how long they would put me on hold for. My husband ordered rims for winter tires over the phone and booked an appointment to install, except we showed up and there were no rims. We kept the appointment to just swap the tires to winter tires on the same rims, no problem. Dropped off the vehicle at 8:30 to place winter tires and they did say it might take all day since they were busy, at which point we thought it would be okay as long as it gets done today. Not sure why they do not keep their promise of price match guarantee? I presented a Costco quote this morning but they rejected it saying they cannot honour $100 promo discount included in the quote. Just a waste of time. I am going to Costco. They lost a potential loyal customer over $100 today.
The lady working Oct 19 in the AM really kills the vibe at this location. There is no need to get annoyed with customers and talk down to them. they are giving respect back. When customers walk into a tire location wanting to spend hard earned dollars, they want to be greeted and talked to like a normal person. This is by far the worst tire location in the city.
Don’t bother with this location! Went into book a brake job and oil change and she fumbled around even though we’ve bought tires there and then told us we couldn’t even make an appointment without providing the vin number. We left and went to the Ellerslie location and made the appointment and asked the guy about the vin number and he said it’s all right on the screen! The Ellerslie branch is now the only one we’ll deal with from now on. Windermere, you need to have knowledgeable people on your front counter and shop! Do bet... read more
