Kal Tire in West Kelowna installed tires on my Rivian R1S on Thursday July 23, 2026. The wheels came back with gouging and tool marks around multiple lug pockets and scoring on the spoke faces (photos attached). The damage is consistent with an unsleeved impact socket contacting the wheel. The chip on the face of the wheel has yellow safety paint transfer on it, which appears to match some of their equipment in the shop. So I’ll be honest I was gearing up to give this experience a less than stellar review, or none at all just because I rarely give reviews, but the staff here really turned my experience around so I have to mention it. Came in with a rock in my trailer brakes and a couple bald tires so I figured I’d get a new pair and ask if it’s possible to find the rock. So I’ve gone here a few times mostly because my husband always comes here and booked the appointment for my tires but the last time I came, they didn’t call me to tell me when my car was ready and I asked him to call me and they didn’t but I just showed up when they said it was gonna be done and sure enough. I didn’t have to wait that long.
