I would like to give this zero stars if possible, based on my multiple experiences taking my elderly mother here over the past 5 years (she passed away this month at the age of 88). Kaiser knows this ER is understaffed and under-resourced for years but has done nothing about it. One can only conclude that all they care about it is profitability. The waiting room is always full and the minimum time spent there is at least 5-6 hours.
Bathrooms in emergency room waiting room and also within the patient care rooms are filthy and smelly. It’s completely insane how dirty they are. Only one dr I know who is worthy of 5 stars that I can remember. His name has the word Gold in it. He goes there extra mile for patients and actually pays attention to what they are saying. It’s super disappointing that I referred family to Kaiser and now am seeing how filthy it is. One of the ER nurses was super nice, however after she left we were left with a really rude ER triage nurse… I was trying to be as polite as possible while she was yelling at me in an aggressive manner. Totally unnecessary.
I visited the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Emergency Room tonight and have been waiting for over three hours without seeing a doctor. The staff here treat patients as if we are prisoners rather than people in need of medical care. I witnessed multiple patients arguing with the staff about the excessively long wait times, and when I was in severe pain, I started tearing up.
