Though it was not a place I would choose to be, if i was ever in such a bad crisis, i would be willing to go back. The staff there really cared about the patients, making sure to take care of each and every one of us. The CTs were great too. While there was some drama, staff and the CTs were always able to get down to the root of the problem and fix it. My room was always clean, and so was the day area. As for the food, it was great. One star but i wish it would be half. Horrible, and i’m not exaggerating this. I found a centipede in my apple, saw someone take a big brown jelly piece of mold out of their milk, i caught the flu, had to witness kids get a shot and get put in the chair because of them getting slightly agitated, and old men/woman (staff) staring me down at night and smiling in the most uncomfortable way. Kahi Mohala was a very good place for me to focus on my self and help me stabilize my emotions and learn how to control my self in better ways , The staff at Kahi Mohala are really supportive and some treat you as there own , The place isn’t bad, Yes Kahi Mohala peers have there ups and downs , but your there to work on your self ,it prepares you for the outside world, one thing many staff has told me is “if you can handle your peers in there you can handle the outside world “ there are good activities to keep your self busy... read more

this place was actually horrible. i had so much trauma once i left and yet my mom has filed out countless reports to the state about this horrible place. i only stayed for 5 days and it was the worst 5 days of my life, 3 fights happened and people always talked bad about each other. i got jumped here and NONE of the staff even had a thought in mind to come save me, ive never felt so disappointed in a “safe” place. ive even told the staff days before this was happening that kids were talking bad about me because i was the you... read more
