This is a review for the allergy office staff and not for the physician. After having my insurance accepted and a new patient appointment scheduled, the office called to cancel my appointment because they would not accept my Blue Cross / Blue Shield insurance because it was not issued by an employer. (Retired). I have never heard of this being a problem so I can only assume some sort of discrimination. Due to the urgency of the situation, I offered to self pay but was also refused.
Attentive, caring, and professional. These qualities only scratch the surface of describing how incredible this practice is. I have never felt as heard, and cared for from another doctors office. From the front desk staff, to the medical assistants & nurses; they all treat their patients with dignity and care. Beyond that, they make getting care convenient with in-house x-rays, ultra sounds, and bone density scans. This practice legitimately saved my life!
I had a great experience with Barbara Kage. She is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful, and she takes the time to truly listen without rushing the appointment. I felt heard and taken seriously, and she explained everything clearly while looking at the full picture of my health. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate, thorough rheumatologist.

Dr Kage and staff are so professional, kind and thorough. Great experience at this office! The staff is friendly, the office is clean and organized, and the doctor takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly. I never feel rushed and always feel well taken care of. Highly recommend!
