Unprofessional and disorganized office. I’ve had multiple issues with this rheumatology office, particularly with the staff handling insurance. The person in charge clearly lacks the basic knowledge of how to work with insurance providers and does not follow the instructions or policies outlined by my insurer. I do not have a copay, yet they repeatedly charged me for visits — something my insurance fully covers. I used to go to this office and they were good. I have some issues with biologics so that ended my visit. Recently I had a really bad flare up and I returned to this office. The nurse practitioner that greeted me was not nice. Ask me a few questions about surgeries and things like that and when I gave her the answer she corrected me which she was wrong about my answer. Rude, unprofessional, uneducated staff. It’s a shame that these doctors allow the behavior of their staff members. Both Doctors at this practice appeared to be knowledgeable and empathetic in the few minutes I spent with them but the entire staff (from front door receptionist, medical assistant, to Physician Assistant) are rude and appear to not care in the slightest about patients. Having a history of JIA, I needed to find a new rheumatologist quickly. Unfortunately, this office was extremely unprofessional, and the doctor I saw was unhelpful in determining the cause of my pain. Despite having numerous tests, they did not know what was wrong and instead gave me an inaccurate, random diagnosis.
