My daughter and I have been coming to Kady African Braiding's Richmond location since 2018. We always have a good experience and our braids are beautifully and neatly done. Today, I had an unfortunate experience with my braider and felt compelled to write a review. I initially booked an appointment for small knotless braids. The only reason I’m giving them a one star is because Google will not let me give them a 0 star rating. I went on yesterday May 25th for what I thought would be a nice twist style and ended up walking out the door looking like the lady with the snakes sticking out her head. The hair they told me to get didn’t match the style I wanted and the lady that braided my hair tells me I should’ve gotten Cuban twist hair instead. Richmond- DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS! The place is dirty and I had to tell the braider multiple times not to put hair she dropped on the floor in my head. The braider was late, complained when manager text her, and ignored the manager. 2 of the braider talked about and complained about the manager openly with customers present. I do agree that the manager should not have been texting and agitating the braider while doing my hair. Horrible experience! Do not get your hair braided here.
I’ve been coming to this place for years, my sylist no longer works there so I got stuck with a no talent Braider and walk out like this for $250 that I took out 3 days later After I kept telling her I didn’t like it, she keep pressing that she is fixing it When the lady was done she said she didn’t know how to do this style, I asked why you didn’t say anything I would’ve changed the style I know I will not waste another dollar here
