Shallow and racist staff. I entered the restaurant and asked for a table with my name. The receptionist who was a like a 20-something white lady asked me if I could give her an easier name. Really? Maybe if the staff wasn't so shallow and racist, I'd actually eat at the restaurant! I find the name of the restaurant hard to say too but I never asked them to change it! By the way, my name consists of three consonants separated by three vowels (Ya-mi-ni)!
Way too much food which would be ok if it were any good. Service is shotty. The chocolate lava cake is no lava cake is was sliced last Tuesday. What a sham.
Decent Sushi.. Eh, I've had better. But it also wasn't *terrible* either. This is my wife and my opinion on the sushi dinner we had at Kabuto the other night. The freshest? Eh. The largest? No. The most unique? No. But it is decent sushi at a decent price. We sat by the sushi maker himself, but that doesn't lend itself to thinking too highly of a place when you see three big tubs of GFS "Heavy Duty Mayonnaise" (that was seriously the name of it) sitting behind the bar. Worst service of 2014. One of the most frustrating meals I had in 2014. First, we walk in and nobody is at the front to greet us. Not a problem. But, after 5 minutes, it got old standing there. Even worse, 4 different employees made eye contact with me but never said a thing. No, "Hi, how are you? We'll be a minute." Just blank stares as they carried on. Dirty and Rude. We made the poor decison to try this place for dinner. The hostess was rude and uneducated, with no clue of what was going on around her. They had just reopened for the dinner meal and the place was filthy. The table and grill were covered in food and who knows what from the lunch meal. The waitress was dirty and rude as well. We left before ordering food. I do not reccomend this establishment to anyone.
Rude. I have enjoyed many meals at Kabuto's, however, I took my 23 yr old daughter to lunch and had a rude hibachi cook. There were 4 small children sitting at our table and the man made grossly obscene gestures (like a dog in heat!) when joking with my daughter. When did it become acceptable for people to act in such an inappropriate way?! I will never go back to this restaurant! It was offensive, rude, vulgar, and in poor taste!

Birthday celebration. We have been to Kabuto many times and food was always great and plentiful. Our chef did not do much in the way of entertainment. Just tapping the utensils does not thrill me. No onion tower, which the kids love. In his defense the place was packed, all tables full, and they had two chef's working, for all the tables.
