Horrible experience! We took a group of 8 for a birthday expecting "dinner with a show" as advertised. There was zero show at our table and the chef did not speak to us (all the other tables were getting shows). Food was average. We complained to the manager, who really did not care. Ruined my brother's birthday. Please choose somewhere else. In addition, they only have a sanitation score of 90.5.
Watered down drinks. – The food was per expectations for this kind of retaurant. The drinks were lousy. It was quite obvious that they were shorting the alcohol on everything. When I complained, the MANAGER said I was mistaken. We ordered Kamakazis that we all (6) agreed HAD NO VODKA. The manager made no attempt to remedy the situation at all. Stay away at all costs...even if you have to go hungry! – The onion soup was bland with next to no taste. The eating space at the grill (for those sitting in front of the chef) was barely a plate deep and your legs got very warm from the heat from the grill. There was absolutely no display of tossing the spatula/fork around. The chef just dumped the food on the grill (and a good bit of oil) and cooked it. No playing around with the food at all. You'll find better – The staff was friendly when we arrived. The chef was inexperienced and sloppy. We went at lunch time and our party of seven all agreed that we felt rushed. The chef raced through the preparation of the food and kept dropping food as he served it. The chef also didn't portion well, so when he was serving things such as fried rice or vegetables, by the time he got to the last person at the table, they got much less than the rest. He was consistently bad at this. Try Nakato on Highway 51 for better hibachi.
Good Food but pricey – I went there for lunch and the only difference from dinner is the lack of a salad. lunch is $10 dinner is $20. Expensive salad
Kabuto Yum! – I have visited here each time I am in the area, and am never disappointed. Great sushi and service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Very entertaining – Kabuto serves delicious, fresh food with a wonderful atmosphere of fun for adults and kids alike.
