Honeymooned here in 2017 and will never forget how lucky we felt when we arrived. It was like Hawaii of the 1950s was waiting for us at this small, beachfront hotel. We had a beautiful classic room with an ocean-facing balcony. Breakfasts at the big hotel next door and happy hour cocktails were fabulous, the beach directly outside quiet and perfect where we snorkelled and saw sea turtles. Stayed here in March, 2010 with my daughter. LOVED our stay. If you are used to the Ritz. You may be disappointed in the rooms. BUT... I was there to see the island. Definitely not sit in my room. Although. Sometimes it was hard to leave in the AM. After watching the morning whale and dolphin show from the balcony over coffee. The staff and the location itself made up for that. And I see they've renovated since then. We were out by 7 every morning. And back most nights just in time to watch the Luau next door from our balcon... read more
