8/10 I was a student here. Was butthurt for a while, got over it. No program is perfect, but kw is one of the better ones. Would recommend for most cases
Very supportive staff. The actual program paper curriculum is really well written and is obviously meant for long term changes. No place is perfect for everyone but this one was perfect for me. The staff and other students at KW Legacy Ranch grew to become my family so it is really hard to hear all of these lies about the program. There was absolutely no abuse, no starvation, none of that. I deeply regret sending my child to KW. He was bullied by staff, deprived of basic needs like food, sleep, and showers. He did not get the therapy he needed. For years after leaving, he had nightmares of KW staff and he still experiences PTSD from his time there. As per report from my now adult child, teens were beaten by staff, threatened with “whoopings,” restrained with excessive force, they were forced to work in unsanitary conditions and were forced to inflict punishment on other students, kids were starved as a means o... read more
