We interviewed several contractors for our addition onto our home. We went with K and L Design for several reasons. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable in all of the different trades that were needed for our project. We extended our home adding on a first and second floor. We used K and L Design to install our new deck. Ken and Matt both from the very beginning handled the entire process very smoothly. We decided on composite decking with a metal frame. We later added on a vinyl fence and a paver patio which complimented our brand new deck they installed wonderfully. I would recommend K and L Design to anybody that is looking for a job well done.
We hired K & L to install a fence in our backyard, build a sliding door and deck off our second floor. At first Ken was very professional and knowledgeable. We had agreed that they would do the permit work for the projects. Ken tried calling our local permit office said no one was answering and that it was on us to get the proper permits. My wife and I have full time jobs and found it difficult to find time to get to the permit office. Ken said that it was normal to start projects without permits. We had a great experience with this contractor. He is an artist with an eye to detail who did a great job replacing a ceiling and then repairing some very damaged drywall. He also refinished wood floors found under the ancient carpet. He painted everything and finished up on Christmas Eve! He was a very hard worker with great quality, as well as being a very nice guy, with fair prices-no extra costs.
