My transmission was rebuilt a few years ago by a different shop and it went bad in less than 10k miles. I called that shop and they had closed their doors, my fault picking them I guess. I called around and looked at reviews of several shops. I talked to K&D probably on about my 4th shop call and could tell right away how much more helpful he was at answering questions and walking me through his process.
