Title this one "Honest Andy". I'm still happy about this help Andy gave me in 2010. Back then, in a rush, with my husband out of town, I called one of the "big name" plumbing and heating companies to replace my hot water heater. Super busy with two young kids to take care of, I didn't research what a standard price should be for this job. The big name company (who is - as I learned later - well known for WAY overcharging people and taking advantage of poorly informed folks) did a fine job, but they charged me $3200 for it!!!... read more
