We moved my family member to JW Sommer after experiencing less-than-satisfactory care at another local facility. The professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the environment, and the quality of physical and occupational therapy he received during his stay were truly outstanding.
I was taken very good care of the majority of the time I was there. When I transferred to another facility to finish my rehab I was unpacking & I discovered that several items of clothing was missing. I had a roommate for several days & don’t know if she took my things by accident ( they were in my bedside table) or on purpose. If it wasn’t her it had to have been an employee that took them & i hate to think that because i really liked most of them. Just my opinion, of course. But having worked 30 years in extended care I pretty much have an inside track. There are not enough words to say how utterly horrible this place is. From the filth, to the smart-mouthed staff, to them talking to my mother like she was 4 years old, to the patient neglect...it was a nightmare from start to finish. There was one RN and one CNA nurse who were kind and seemed dedicated.
Staff is awful and mouthy. They won't help when you ask for something. I will never be back or never recommend anyone there
