Jim was a close friend of mine. I was excited to hire him when I needed a porch and barn built. Much has transpired and our friendship has ended. The one thing I will share is that my new porch roof leaked like crazy. I told him about it and he said it was because of my existing roof. I told him I was sure that was not the case. Unnacceptable craftsmanship for the steep price. We bought a new fence and deck. The fence had about 4 panels that did not match the other wood as they were old and browner. Jim said it would all the look the same when stained, but frankly that's not why we spent $5k plus. Staining was not his project. He said he would bring better panels, never did. Fence gates don't even open. After one week, we pointed this out. Clearly, he didn't fix it. Tons of screws, nails, and boards were so poorly put together. One fence panel blew ... read more
