JVC Kenwood GPS DNX-692 auto system failed due to main circuit board exposure to cold. This company No longer makes high quality long lasting products. DO NOT BUY KVC Kenwood products if want a system that lasts more than the 3 year Warren. Consider Bose as a alternative if not wasting thousands of dollars on products and installation costs are important to you. Disappointed Decade long customer!!!!!!
Ian a 61 year old retired electronics and physicist specialist who put his first aftermarket stereo a pioneer super turner in a pinto in 1978. Since then I’ve installed dozens from Crutchfield JVC Kenwoods Sonys and the like. Recently my sons Kenwood DNX-692 stoped working in extreme cold weather due to failure of the solder tracks/joints on the main circuit board.
