Pay more than some places on the scrapbook will scam you for any of the good stuff such as copper insulated wire. For me there's no better place in Melinda's in Plant City. Name of that place is metals materials and recycling.
This place is so amazing! The ladies in the office are always wonderful and amazing! The bend out in the yard are awesome and are always willing to help the best scrapyard I’ve ever been to. I’ve been on here for four years.
I rolled in with a trailer full of miscellaneous scrap metal on a Monday afternoon and rolled right onto the scale. The office lady took my weight in about 5 seconds and said “Ok, go ahead” and I backed up to the pile and dumped everything out. A few minutes later, I was getting my weight on the way out and picking up some cash. Easy as you please. Remember to bring your ID, as they’ll take that and your sig, photo, and fingerprint. A great experience — now I just need to find more metal!
