Autumn 2017 - this one man band, John Fair, was referred to me by a now departed store manger of a well known national paint store. The job was to strip and re-stain 3 external cedar veneered garage doors. I paid him half up-front in July. He didn’t start working until September and took 4 weeks to do his part. After all that time, he used the wrong stain color and when I questioned the color, insisted that “it would darken” with enough coats. I am a very happy customer! I hired John to replace several rotting and/or splitting boards in my deck. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. After a thorough inspection of my deck boards, John promptly returned with all needed materials and equipment and got right to work. He worked hard (in the hot, hot sun) from 1:00-6:30 today and did great work! He was meticulous and did everything right, rather than taking any shortcuts.
