I would strongly caution anyone considering ARTium. My experience was full of misrepresentation, permit violations, and poor quality workmanship. Despite their reputation as an “award-winning” company, the reality was quite the opposite. They assured me permits were secured. They weren’t. I had to pay the Municipality of Mississippi Mills out of pocket to fix their mess, and I’m still chasing reimbursement. Just Basements beautifully renovated our basement, turning it into a cozy tv room with a fireplace, with plenty of storage space and an amazing laundry room. All staff were knowledgeable and kind to us while we lived in our home during the renovation. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience having our basement finished in our new-build home. The team was exceptionally careful and clean, putting everything away each day, and their attention to detail was outstanding. They held themselves to very high standards, often pointing out and improving things we wouldn’t have even noticed, which gave us great confidence in the quality of the work.
We had our basement done with Just Basements and loved the entire experience with them - from design - making sure to give us what we wanted out of the space, to the amazing team members that worked to keep the impact of construction on our day to day living as low and as clean as possible, to completion of a gorgeous basement that friends and family rave about. We’ve recommended them to friends and will continue to do so!
We've used Artium/Just Basements 3 times. They did a full basement finishing on our 1st home in Westboro. Throughout the project we were kept informed of costs and expected completion dates. Last year we had a basement renovation of our new home in Glabar Park. This included a new floor, built-in book shelf accent wall and insulation of a utility room.
