My husband and I enjoyed a half day guided kayak tour with guide Darcy and captain Max. It was our first time in Alaska. The natural beauty is breathtaking. We went in early July. The only drawback was if your feet cannot reach the foot rests within the craft, it can be uncomfortable while kayaking. We did a half day kayak tour with Eric. Highly recommended. Eric has been guiding for 30 years and it shows. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, helpful, it’s clear he cares about his guests. The weather was not very cooperative, strong winds caused waves in the bay but we still had a great adventure cruising the little coves along the coast line. We saw a sea lion and sea otters on our adventure, truly a wonderful time.
If you want to fish for halibut in Homer stay away from this company, they called and canceled on us the morning of our afternoon charter claiming the weather was to bad to fish, and then offered to let one of us go the next day to fill the boat and the other one of us the day after that. If you don’t want to take two people out to fish then don’t advertise a minimum of two in a charter.
