I had a back surgery performed by Dr Shibayama recently. Less stressful and most successful surgery! I highly recommend Dr Shibayama as one of the best back surgeons
Dr. Shibayama is very caring. He listens to his patients and try to understand their pain and provide the correct solution to alleviate their pain. And always will to pray with you. He is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone dealing with back pain.
Dr. Shibayama is an excellent surgeon. I had a Laminectomy in April 2026 and the healing was going very well until around week 7 or 8. I started to have some of the previous pain as well and some new symptoms I had not had before. After sending me for an MRI he realized another surgery , lumbar fusion, was needed. I had that procedure yesterday. He discovered some areas of concern that were not visible on X-rays. I am happy to report he was able to correct those as well.
