BEWARE - This organization advertises promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of all. They even have a council dedicated to this; however, buzzwords and "councils" do not always equal action or equality for all. I am a female with a hearing disability - I have a hard time hearing. After ever session, I asked if speakers could use the microphone. It is impractical to have one speaker speak without even speaking loudly across a huge room to 100-300 people. This "charity" organization is a snobby social club looking for a cause. They take pricey member dues to pay for expensive marketing materials and "socials" at upscale locales. Boorish cliques and hostile management at the "Nearly New Shop" (where clothing is way overpriced) were a major turn-off.
The Junior League of Greenville is a fantastic organization to join. If you're looking to get involved in the community and meet new people, check it out!
