I had a great experience at this office from start to finish. The front desk staff was very welcoming and made the check in process quick and easy. The doctor took the time to really listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel rushed. Everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable. I think this office could highly benefit from having an HR rep and/or a new front desk staff. Friendliness ≠ professionalism. The first time I visited this office was bc I needed a new PCP. I was called in to get my blood pressure/vitals by the front desk lady (who's also the doctor's mom). She made an assumption about my ethnicity and then proceeded to tell me all about her side projects about her cooking youtube channel. Great doctors but the front staff is just so rude and impatient.
Best doctor ever~~ I cannot recommend Dr. Shalena highly enough. From the first appointment, they took the time to listen carefully, explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, and made me feel genuinely cared for. I’m sure this place is great if you need ozempic or lip injections or a facial, since it looks like that’s what they do(?), but if you’re looking for a primary care physician, I recommend going elsewhere. First of all, I have never even met Doctor Shalena Islam. Is she real? She must be in the back doing lip injections or facials or whatever because every appointment I schedule has been handled by the nurse practitioner.
