I would like to start off by stating it's been years since I've seen Dr Szumigala. My reason for leaving was lack of availability and patient care. When you have something going on that is causing pain and disrupting your daily life ,to tell your patients that you are available in 1 year is unacceptable. Dr Julie Szumigala dismissed me as a patient after having her as my gyn for over 20 years because I declined a colposcopy. I feel the need to mention that my apprehension came from the fact that I had my period during the pap and removed a tampon, so I was concerned about that interference in the reading and asked for a new pap, stating I would do the colposcopy if that second one came back abnormal. I had my first appointment with Dr. Szumigala this week. I recently moved 500 miles away from my old home and my old doctor, and had many concerns to bring to Dr. Szumigala regarding continued care and also high risk of cancer. I felt listened to, understood, and as if I was in good hands, as she talked with me about my options and the steps we would be taking. I had a lot of anxiety over finding a new doctor, but I am so overjoyed that I found Dr. Szumigala.
Absolutely wonderful! Very professional! Caring! I love my doctor. ❤️
