I don't know what is happening with Aspirus after their acquisition of Ascension, but they are falling apart. In addition, after moving to Julie Hennes when our primary care doctor retired, she minimized my wife's symptoms and tried to blame it on stress. We had to really push to get some tests done, and sure enough, it wasn't stress, the tests showed a problem. Now Aspirus is saying we can't even make an appointment with Julie Hennes for weeks. Something strange is going on. They won't tell us why.
I absolutely love Julie! She always listened, was attentive to my needs, gave great information and advice. She was thorough with my exams and very quick in getting any lab or procedure results to me. She always reviewed everything line by line with me and explained what each test was for. Even after moving 2 hrs away from Stevens Point, I drove the 2 hrs each way just to see her for my appointments. She's kind, caring, honest, and actually listens to you to try to get to the root of whatever is ailing you. She also has a wonderful personality and is very down to earth. I traveled 45+ miles once a week when I moved away to keep her as my doctor and stay under her care because she's far more than worthy of the gas and time. Dr. Julie Hennes is by far the best provider I have ever seen. She genuinely listens to your concerns and explains things to you in ways that you can understand. She is also very friendly and personable, the first time I meet her, I was very comfortable with her. I’ve had many providers in the past and often times it felt like the appointment was rushed and felt like the provider had to get in and out.
