I STRONGLY urge you to find another doctor. I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, that I was an inconvenience to her, and that she wanted to write me off.

I had a very dismissive experience. When I described my symptoms, I was told “women your age just don’t feel good,” instead of being evaluated. I specifically asked to have my ferritin checked and was told it wasn’t necessary. I was also told hormone therapy wasn’t appropriate simply because I still menstruate. (Not well-informed at all) I later had my ferritin tested elsewhere and it was extremely low (7), which is a level known to cause significant fatigue, sleep disruption, and other symptoms. I’m writing this review in the hope that it may help another woman make an informed decision about her care. At one point, this doctor seemed attentive, but over time my experience changed significantly. I felt rushed during appointments, and conversations were often cut short because she was moving quickly to the next patient. When you’re dealing with pregnancy — especially high-risk or complex medical situations — you need a provider who is present, listens carefully, and responds with urgency when concerns arise.
